GARDEN VEGETABLE BLEND

 

Chef Joy’s garden vegetable shake is ideal for vegetarians, and or vegans. It naturally enhances the delicious flavor of vegetables and vegetable dishes. Ingredients include onion powder, garlic powder, turmeric, cumin, black pepper, coriander, rosemary, sage, mushroom powder mustard powder, paprika and oregano. This seasoning blend is perfect for roasted potatoes, roasted vegetables, hummus, soup, pizza, pasta and more.

Garlic Hummus 

Ingredients Measurements

Garbanzo Beans, canned 16 oz 

Baking soda 1 tsp 

Tahini paste ¼ C

Garlic Olive oil 1 cup 

Lemon juice 1 tbsp.

Garlic, whole 3.

Salt 2 tsp. 

Chef Joy’s “Garden Vegetable” Seasonings 2 tsp. 

Directions

  1. Strain garbanzo beans, then add them to a pot of water with baking soda. On medium high heat, allow the garbanzo to come to a boil. Once it comes to a boil strain and allow to fully cool. 

  2. Garlic oil: In a small sauce, add garlic and olive oil together. Allow the two to cook for 5 minutes, garlic should be soft and fragrant. Set aside and allow to cool. 

  3. In a food processor, add garbanzo beans, tahini paste, lemon juice, garlic oil, and garlic. Blend and slowly drizzle the olive oil. The consistency of the hummus should be smooth and glossy. 

  4. Seasoning with Chef Joy’s “Garden Vegetable” and salt. 

  5. Cut up your personal favorite vegetables such as carrots and celery.
